Junior Development / Construction Manager

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Support daily efforts of Sr. Development Manager

  • Assist in the management of developments from concept through to completion.

  • Support financial management including feasibilities, budgets and forecasts.

  • Negotiations with relevant governing agencies.

  • Supporting Request for Proposal (RFP) and procurement processes, including submission and responses for Requests for Information (RFI's). 

  • Reviewing contracts, drawings, specifications, and other resources to answer questions.

  • Coordinating equipment procurement with the purchasing department and outside vendors.

  • Coordinating job set-up, site mobilization, project administration, and closeout. 

  • Assist in obtaining and reviewing information and approvals for processing of shop drawings, product data and samples. Coordinating with the project drawings and specifications. Study contract drawings, specifications and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation. 

  • Assisting in preparation of Job Start and Project Closeout project binders and meeting materials.

  • Assist with Construction Management tasks in the office and in the field.

  • Assist with project site visits. The applicant may be required to navigate through a jobsite and must comply with all Company and Site safety requirements in the office and on the jobsite.

  • Review survey/title issues and other reports to determine liabilities of potential acquisitions.

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • Four year degree in progress in engineering, construction management, or architectural field.

  • At least 2-3 years' experience within property ideally within construction management and real estate.

  • Aspirations to progress your career over time to become a Development Manager.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Project management skills.

  • Relationship building skills with ability form relationships with all stakeholders.

  • High degree of motivation and self-drive.

  • Accuracy with strong attention to detail.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is often active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The employee must sometimes lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds. The employee must frequently sit and use a computer for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities are required to do this job including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
